Osteoporosis drug Fosamax linked to heart problem
Women who have used Fosamax are nearly twice as likely to develop the most common kind of chronically irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) than are those who have never used it, according to research from Group Health and the University of Washington published in the April 28 Archives of Internal Medicine.

False Claims of Doctor Who ‘Can Reverse’ Alzheimer’s Disease

A doctor who claimed to be able to reverse the effects of Alzheimer’s with an arthritis drug was disciplined last year by US health chiefs for claiming the same drug could halt back pain. He was found guilty of unprofessional conduct and placed on probation for a year. He was banned from practicing for 60 days.
